South Indian actor Mohanlal’s much-anticipated film L2: Empurano has become a huge success at the box office, grossing over Rs 22 crore in all languages on its opening day. The film is directed and produced by Prithviraj Sukumaran. Viewers have praised the film’s high production values and gripping narrative.
Box office collection :
The film has grossed over Rs 19.45 crore in Malayalam from the Sacnilk website since its inception. It has collected Rs 1.2 crore from Telugu, Rs 80 lakh from Tamil, Rs 50 lakh from Hindi and Rs 5 lakh from Kannada.
Possession rates across languages :
The film had an overall occupancy of 61.02% in Malayalam on its opening day, with night shows recording the highest at 66%.
The IMAX version saw slightly lower occupancy at 53.42%.
