The sowing of seeds of agricultural crops is officially started from the first day of the festival. Plowing and felling of trees are prohibited. The festival is celebrated with its traditional rituals, songs, dance performances, and communal feasts. They believe that this will strengthen their lives, happiness, prosperity, and community traditions, strengthen community bonds and good agricultural harvests, and pass on the traditions and culture of the Mishing community to the younger generation for preservation and protection.
